The following image shows the data flows between Xero and Sperse
To add your XERO accounts to CFO:
Watch the step-by-step video tutorial to connect your Xero Accounting data to Sperse CFO software.
OR FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
From the CFO Dashboard, click on the "Get Started" button which will open the following dialog.
Note: The same dialog can also be opened from the "Add Account" link shown on the Dashboard once you've already connected other accounts.
1. Select the "Connect to Xero Accounting Software" option, highlighted below:
This will open up the Xero OAuth 2.0 Authentication window. From the Xero Authentication Window, Xero will ask you for the login credentials that you wish to allow limited access to your account. After entering your credentials, click the "Log in" button.
After entering your credentials, you will be shown the following screen to confirm the account you want to sync. Click the Allow Access button to continue
Select the Business organization(s) you wish to connect with Sperse CFO, then click the "Connect" button.
This will complete the Xero authorization step. You will now have Xero account added to your Sperse CFO account once you perform data synchronizations and allow you to import and export data seamlessly between the Sperse and Xero applications.
Sperse CFO software will then automatically begin a sync process to pull the relevant data into your Sperse account, and you'll be presented with an updated Dashboard once the first sync is completed.
You can set up the Data sync to run automatically at scheduled intervals, or manually, as needed.
- What syncs and what doesn't?
See the diagram above.
- Why don’t all of my Xero accounts show up in Sperse?
Check out the Type and Status filters applied to the Accounts section.
- Why don’t some of my transactions from Xero show up in Sperse?
Only paid Bills and Invoices sync from Xero to Sperse. We do not sync historical Paid bills and invoices.
Bills/Invoices in Draft status in Xero don’t sync to Sperse.
- When and how does data sync occur?
The Data sync runs automatically after the Xero organization connection. You can manually run the subsequent sync from the Accounts section by clicking the 'Sync accounts' button on the toolbar or clicking the gear icon and selecting the Sync Now option for the specific account.
- Where did my Xero Contacts show up?
This is a part of the transaction data and stored in Vendor details.
- How do I disconnect from Xero account from Sperse?
Click the gear icon and select the Delete option for the specific account. You will also need to disconnect the Sperse app at your Xero account (see the Xero Disconnect third-party apps article).
